Never, Ever Give Up. Arthur's Inspirational Transformation!
Arthur Boorman was a disabled veteran of the Gulf War for 15 years, and was told by his doctors that he would never be able to walk on his own, ever again.
He stumbled upon an article about Diamond Dallas Page doing Yoga and decided to give it a try -- he couldn't do traditional, higher impact exercise, so he tried DDP YOGA and sent an email to Dallas telling him his story.
Dallas was so moved by his story, he began emailing and speaking on the phone with Arthur throughout his journey - he encouraged Arthur to keep going and to believe that anything was possible. Even though doctors told him walking would never happen, Arthur was persistent. He fell many times, but kept going.
Arthur was getting stronger rapidly, and he was losing weight at an incredible rate! Because of DDP's specialized workout, he gained tremendous balance and flexibility -- which gave him hope that maybe someday he'd be able to walk again.
His story is proof, that we cannot place limits on what we are capable of doing, because we often do not know our own potential. Niether Arthur, nor Dallas knew what he would go on to accomplish, but this video speaks for itself. In less than a year, Arthur completely transformed his life. If only he had known what he was capable of 15 years earlier.
Do not waste any time thinking you are stuck - you can take control over your life and change it faster than you might think.
Hopefully this story can inspire you to follow your dreams - whatever they may be.

Anything is Possible! If this story can inspire someone you know, please share it with them!

On a Oprah Winfrey show that aired on Friday December 1, 2006, a homeless guest on the show was given $100,000 by a film director. The film director gave him this money as a test to see how he would spend the money. The homeless man did not know that he was going to receive the money when he first got the $100,000. He was only told that he would be filmed as a documentary as to how a homeless man spends his days. It was about the day and life of a homeless person.

The man first found the briefcase with $100,000 in a garbage bin when he was looking for soda cans. This is how he made his money. The man was clearly broke and when he found the briefcase with the money in it, he could not believe it. He actually cried in shock. I was amazed to find out what the homeless man did with the money next.
The man first got himself an apartment and then he bought himself a $32,000 truck. He then bought his friends cars by taking them to a car dealership and having them purchase the car that they wanted. He kept on buying more more stuff and then he gave the money away. Was this a smart thing to do?
Shockingly the film maker also gave him the opportunity to use a financial advisor and counselor for free. The homeless man did not take him up on his offer. He instead spent all of the money on whatever he felt like spending his money on. Surprisingly the homeless man lost everything and he stated that he is back on the streets and homeless again. The sad truth here is that sometimes when you give money to someone, you hope that they would do the best with it. However, we can see clearly here from this example that it is not always true. Have you ever given something to someone and asked yourself if you should have maybe let them work for it instead? When you work for something, you tend to value it more because you knew what it took to make that kind of cash.
The homeless man also stated that when he received the $100,000 he also received a lot of friends. He even got married. Once he lost all of his money, the homeless man claimed that his wife did not want him anymore. Does money bring more friends and influence your power? According to this story, it does. You can make friends easily when you have money to spend on them. Many millionaires will tell you that they can have many friends with their money.
It is safe to say that from this example, money is best when it is earned by yourself and not given to you by another person. Especially not in a lump sum. I encourage you to give this year, but to use wisdom when giving as well. If you are wanting to read about money or power, the best book to get on this topic is, "Is Life Worth It? Sex, Money and Power from a Psychics Point of View by Stephen Piperno.

The collection above features the terrified - and hilarious - reactions of tourists during a 15-minute, pitch-black tour through the attraction.

Located in Niagara Falls, Canada, the haunted house has a hidden camera that captures petrified reactions at a particular moment during the attraction. From teenagers to soccer moms, no two people seem to react the exact same way.

Mindfulness is a deliberate way of paying attention in a particular way without judgement, so if distressing thoughts flow in then they are accepted but not allowed to incur a negative performance spiral downwards. This changes the focus away from being in a 'doing-state' towards more of a 'being-state'. Psychology knows that to be in this state is conducive towards slowing down time, developing personal growth strengths, improving relationships with loved ones and peers and enhancing your behaviour and attitude due to managing limiting thoughts and deep emotional states towards your actions.

The beauty with the technique is the simplicity of it. It can be practiced anywhere and at anytime by focusing upon the breath or other bodily sensations. If thoughts cross the mind they are not judged and dealt with then but can be accepted and postponed to another non mindful time. Once the thoughts are parked then the subject returns to the object of focus. There is no special equipment or places required in which to practice.

Mental Health has accepted that mindfulness has become one of its hottest topics as research has shown that it increases happiness and well being as reported in the Journal of Clinical Psychology, it is being prescribed by Doctors as an alternative to medication and is on the recommended list of NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence).

The difference between successful people and unsuccessful people isn’t how often they fail; it is how many times they try. Successful people fail just as often, if not more, then everyone else. The difference is that they keep picking themselves up again and again, try new things and at last find something that works.

Fail Your Way to Success: 5 Inspiring Examples

1- Albert Einstein: Most of us take Einstein's name as synonymous with genius, but he didn't always show such promise. Einstein did not speak until he was four and did not read until he was seven, causing his teachers and parents to think he was mentally handicapped, slow and anti-social. Eventually, he was expelled from school and was refused admittance to the Zurich Polytechnic School. It might have taken him a bit longer, but most people would agree that he caught on pretty well in the end, winning the Nobel Prize and changing the face of modern physics.

2- Henry Ford: While Ford is today known for his innovative assembly line and American-made cars, he wasn't an instant success. In fact, his early businesses failed and left him broke five times before he founded the successful Ford Motor Company.

3- Bill Gates: Gates didn't seem like a shoe-in for success after dropping out of Harvard and starting a failed first business with Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen called Traf-O-Data. While this early idea didn't work, Gates' later work did, creating the global empire that is Microsoft.

4- Charles Darwin: In his early years, Darwin gave up on having a medical career and was often chastised by his father for being lazy and too dreamy. Darwin himself wrote, "I was considered by all my masters and my father, a very ordinary boy, rather below the common standard of intellect." Perhaps they judged too soon, as Darwin today is well-known for his scientific studies.

5- Winston Churchill: This Nobel Prize-winning, twice-elected Prime Minster of the United Kingdom wasn't always as well regarded as he is today. Churchill struggled in school and failed the sixth grade. After school he faced many years of political failures, as he was defeated in every election for public office until he finally became the Prime Minister at the ripe old age of 62.

There is an island just south of mexico city covered with creepy dolls. This island is called Isa de las Munecas in the local language.

The Legend--

It is said that a girl was found drowned in mysterious circumstances many years ago on this island and that the dolls are possessed by her spirit.

Local legend says that the dolls move their heads and arms and even opened their eyes.

Some witnesses claim they had heard the dolls whispering to each other, while others who were on a boat near the island said the dolls lured them to come down to the island.

Of course these witnesses are exaggerating and the island is in no way possessed but the truth is that the Isla de las Munecas is a very creepy place that marks the casual visitor.

The area has thousands of people, but this small island is home to hundreds of terrifying dolls. Their severed limbs, decapitated heads, and blank eyes adorn trees. The dolls are threatening, even in the bright light of midday, but in the dark, they are particularly disturb.

“Faith” was born on Christmas Eve in the year 2002. He was born with 3 legs - 2 healthy hind legs and 1 abnormal front leg which need to be amputated. He of course could not walk when he was born. Even his mother did not want him.

His first owner also did not think that he can survive. Therefore, he was thinking of 'putting him to sleep'.

By this time, his present owner, Jude Stringfellow, met him and wanted to take care of him.

She is determined to teach and train this dog to walk by himself. Therefore she named him 'Faith'

Amazingly, only after 6 months, like a miracle, Faith learned to balance on his 2 hind legs and jumped to move forward. After further training in the snow, he now can walk like a human being.

Faith loves to walk around now. No matter where he goes, he just attracts all the people around him. He is now becoming famous on the international scene. He has appeared in various newspapers and TV shows. There is even one book entitled 'With a little faith' being published about him. He was even considered to appear in one of the Harry Potter movies.

Did you know hugs and affection can dramatically reduce blood pressure and improve the health of your heart?

Hugging someone also releases oxytocin, which is also known as the feel-good hormone. This oxytocin chemical is actually somewhat contagious: "Studies have shown that children whose mothers have been given extra oxytocin have higher levels of the hormone themselves, i.e. solely as a result of the mother’s behaviour.” says neurophysiologist Jürgen Sandkühler, Head of the Centre for Brain Research at the Medical University of Vienna.

A brief hug and 10 minutes of handholding with a romantic partner greatly reduce the harmful physical effects of stress, according to a study reported by the American Psychosomatic Society. Hugging and also been linked to improved memory due to the lowered stress levels. Hugging and showing love is more than just emotionally healthy for you, it can also scientifically improve the health of your body

High above the mountains in South Western China, where Yunnan and Sichuan (of panda fame) border each other, lies the seldom-visited Lugu Lake. Along its banks, we find the Mosuo people who have continuously practiced the matriarchal systems for centuries. Whether out of volition, or of necessity, the Mosuo women have taken on leader ship in their society for the past two thousand years.

In the Mosuo households, the eldest female dominates every aspect of the daily lives and are the principal, if not the sole providers for each household. Like the hearth, which is the center of Mosuo lives, the women are the center of Mosuo society.

There are matrilineal societies in India and Africa but those societies have marriage. In the Mosuo society there is no marriage. In their custom, the man visits the woman in the night. It’s the only society that does that now.' Known as “Axia”. Loosely translated as ‘the Walking Marriage’. Axia is the term the Mosuo use to when the highly precarious form of union between Mosuo women and their men. In the Mosuo’s dialect there is no word for husband or father.
